K 54 (L 24) in a-moll, Allegro. "The music is based on a succession of quavers and, like so many pieces in 3/8, 6/8 or 12/8, it is reminiscent of a jota or an Italian tarantella.” (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.80). Eine scheint´s beliebte Sonate, ich habe sie außer von Ross auch noch von Horowitz und Leach. Ist auch ein sehr schönes, interessantes Stück. Diesmal gefällt mir nicht Horowitz am besten – er spielt es "überirdisch" wie immer, ich ziehe Leach vor, die die Sonate sehr lebendig spielt.

K 55 (L 335) in G-Dur, Allegro. "This is marked Allegro in the Venice manuscript and Presto in Parma. It is interesting to compare the closing bars of each of the two halves of this sonata with the corresponding passages on Kk 7 since here we have one of the rare occasions on which Scarlatti repeats himself. (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.80). Für mich paßt diese Sonate genau zu den tanzenden Schneeflocken, die heute den ganzen Tag vom Himmel herabschweben.

Kim Myhr, originally started as a strict Scarlatti-intepreter ensemble. During fall-2006
the Scarlatties will do a norwegian tour, followed up by a studio recording. By then, the
ensemble will represent more original material, written by Kim, Eirik and Ola.
