K 128 (L 296) in B-Dur, Allegro. "This sonata has much in common with the preceding one through the innocent charm of its thematic material and the style of its harmonic progressions and rhythmic patterns." (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.89). Maria Tipo spielt diese Sonate sehr ätherisch und ausladend, ihre Einspielung dauert über 7 Minuten, bei Ross 4, bei Rövenstrunck nur 2 min 45 (bei ihm klingt es wie auf einer Orgel gespielt). Es lohnt sich aber!

K 127 (L 186) in As-Dur, Allegro. "The systematic division of this sonata into groups of four bars and the conventional harmonic progressions mean that it has much of the character of a dance.” (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.89). Leichtfüßig, tänzerisch bei Soyeon Lee, kräftig, zupackend bei Rövenstrunck und Ross gespielt.

K 126 (L 402) in c-moll, Allegro. "The melodic sequences, separated from one another by apreggios and chromatic figurations over ostinato chords, differ according to whether they fall on the beat or off the beat. And here we have two of Scarlatti´s most familiar fingerprints." (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.89). Trotz der technischen Raffinesse klingt sie bei Fernando Valenti etwas archaisch. Rövenstrunck spielt sie elegant.

K 125 (L 487) in G-Dur, Vivo. Eine "...geradezu ansteckende spanische Tanzmelodie..." (Kirkpatrick 1972, S.289). Ein mitreißendes Stück, wenn auch nicht zum Mittanzen.

K 124 (L 232) in G-Dur, Allegro. "In Kk 124, a torrent of apreggios provides a framework for a Spanish theme accompanied by ostinato chords." (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.88). Eine scheint´s beliebte Sonate, die einige spieltechnische Anforderungen stellt – sie liegt mir (außer von Ross und Rövenstrunck) in Einspielungen von Landowska, Zacharias und Tipo vor. Und alle 5 klingen verschieden, wobei ich keiner den Vorzug geben möchte. Toll! – That´s Scarlatti...

"Were it not for the unusual tonal layout, this sonata would seem almost archaic, with its three-part note-against-note writing, embellishments and imaginative passages.” (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.88). Eine sehr schöne, einfache Sonate ohne "Mätzchen" – trotzdem raffiniert.
