K 89, Naxos complete

K 89 (L 211) in d-moll, Allegro – Grave – Allegro. Diese Sonate spielte Ross in erweiterter Besetzung mit Cembalo, Violine, Cello, Oboe und Fagott. Sie ist im Gegensatz zu den Sonaten K 81, 88, 90 und 91 nur dreisätzig. Wie K 88 ist sie sehr entspannend und wohlklingend.

Zum Spottpreis von 4,99 EUR erstand ich gestern das neueste Album,Vol.8, der NAXOS Gesamteinspielung (wenn´s in dem Tempo weitergeht ist sie wohl erst frühestens nächstes Jahr komplett) eingespielt von der in den USA lebenden Koreanerin Soyeon Lee. Die 26 jährige Pianistin ist Juilliard School Absolventin und gewann mehrere bedeutende Klavierwettbewerbe, u.a. 2004 die Concert Artists Guild International Competition und die Cleveland International Piano Competition. Eine sehr schöne Einspielung, besonders angetan hat´s mir ihre Version der vorgestern gehörten Sonate K 87, die sie noch gefühlvoller und sensibler als M.Pletnov interpretiert. Scarlatti recorded in record time

Pianist Francesco Nicolosi has recorded the latest volume in Naxos’ complete keyboard sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti. Perhaps a natural affinity between musician and composer, both originated in Southern Italy, meant the sessions concluded in record time. Performing at Potton Hall, Suffolk, England, Nicolosi played with a crisp, lively and bel canto style, recording the complete CD in six hours on 2 February.
