K 113 (L 345) in A-Dur, Allegro. Ross ba"rockt" auf dem Cembalo ganz ordentlich, die Tempobezeichung "Vivo" für diese Sonate in der Hs Parma paßt besser als "Allegro" (Hs Venedig). Ganz anders der Klang auf dem Stodart square piano 1823 in der Einspielung von Joanna Leach. Hier merkt man, wie technisch anspruchsvoll dieses Stück ist: "...extremely rapid left cross-hand leaps over the whole compass of the keyboard.” (Joanna Leach im Begleitheft zu Athene Records 23025). Rövenstrunck spielt es nicht so schnell, aber flüssiger.

K 112 (L 298) in B-Dur, Allegro. "This monothematic sonata hinges around the rhythms constantly taken up by the left hand.” (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.87). Aha. Auffallend sind die Basslinien, die vorallem in Rövenstruncks Klaviereinspielung zur Geltung kommen. Klingt modern, avantgardistisch, so gar nicht nach Barockmusik.

K 111 (L 130) in g-moll, Allegro. "The bulk of this curious piece consists of a motif ot two off-the-beat chords for the right hand. The figure appears twenty-six times, so with the repeats, one actually hears it fifty-two times!” (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.87). Scarlatti als Vorläufer der seriellen Musik !? Klingt gut.

K 110 (L 469) in a-moll, Allegro. "...a piece which quivers with syncopated rhythms, trills, repeated notes and notes alternated between two hands.” (Begleitbuch zu Scarlatti The Sonatas Scott Ross, Erato Disques 1988,S.87). Ein Stück für Klaviervirtuosen. Klingt sehr ansprechend.
