Im Postkasten lag am Morgen die CD Pizzicar Galante - Domenico Scarlatti Mandolin Sonatas (Outhere Music/Arcana A115, 2019). Das Ensemble Pizzicar Galante besteht aus Anna Schivazappa, Neapolitanische Mandoline, Ronald Martin Alonso, Viola da Gamba, Daniel de Morais, Theorbe, Gitarre und Fabio Antonio Falcone, Cembalo. Aufgenommen wurden die Sonaten K 91, K 77, K 88, K 89, K 78, K 35, K 73, K 81, K 90, K 85 und K 61 vom 5.-9. September 2017 im Kloster San Basile in Badia Cavana, Parma / Italien. Der CD liegt ein engl./franz./ital. Sprachiges, sehr informatives Booklet unter dem Titel „Per mandolino e cimbalo: the performance of Scarlatti sonatas on the mandolin in 18th – century Paris“ bei.
Darin schreibt Anna Schivazappa, cand.dr.phil. : „What is certain is that the style of Scarlatti, so deeply personal and original if compared to that of his contemporaries, expresses an ingenuity and a wealth of invention that place his works in a sort of timeless modernity characterized by a universal and immediately understandable language, very close to the sensibility of our time.“
